Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-Factor Authentication adds an additional verification step beyond your password.
At this stage, 2FA is supported through Auth and is not a native ionloop.trade component.
An Auth account is required to enable this feature for your SHAREHOLDER ID.
Supported 2FA Methods
You can choose how one-time access codes are delivered:
SMS Authorization
• A one-time code is sent to the phone number linked to your SHAREHOLDER ID.
Auth App (Native)
• Link your account by providing the email address associated with your Auth account and receive codes directly within the Auth application.
This ensures an additional layer of identity verification during sensitive actions.
QR-Based Authorization
IONLOOP Security follows the principle that trusted devices should simplify access, not complicate it.
QR-based authorization allows faster access across devices when you are already authenticated on a trusted mobile device.
Key characteristics:
• The QR code does not contain user data
• It is generated for session authorization only
• A new QR code is required every 60 seconds
• Authorization must be confirmed from an already authenticated device
This method enables secure and efficient access to desktop or TV interfaces without exposing credentials.
IP and Device Limiting
To prevent unauthorized device access, IONLOOP Security enforces device verification rules.
When you:
• Log in from a new device
• Create an account
• Access the platform from an unrecognized environment
You must verify ownership by entering an access key during authentication.
Device Limits
• Each SHAREHOLDER ID can register up to 5 devices
• Devices can be removed at any time
• Adding a new device requires removing an existing one and completing verification again
This ensures that account access remains limited to a controlled and manageable set of trusted devices.
